Information: Company Sergeant-Major Robert S. Hall, entered the 1st Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers in 1894, and served with the Battalion all through the South African campaign, receiving the Queen's Medal with 5 clasps and the King's Medal with 2 clasps. He afterwards served in Malta, Crete and Egypt, and was eventually transferred to the 2nd Battalion, with which he is now at the front. He has been mentioned in Sir John French's despatches, and the French Government have awarded him the Medaille Militaire for distinguished service in the field.
