Information: Colonel R.J. Ross, Middlesex Regiment, who has been mentioned in Sir John French's despatches, and decorated by President Poincare with the Legion of Honour, Croix d'Officier, has been residing at Newcastle, Co. Down, since retiring from the army, which, however, he rejoined on the outbreak of hostilities, and was given a Lieutenant Colonelcy and attached to the Middlesex Regiment. His eldest son, Lieutenant Robert K. Ross, has likewise been doing good service at the front.
