Information: Lieutenant-Commander Arthur George Jameson, R.N., commanding Submarine D2, who met his death by being washed overboard on November 23rd. He was the third son of Mr. Robert W. Jameson, of Campfield House, Dundrum, Co. Dublin. He entered the Navy in 1898, and became a Lieutenant in July, 1905, and two months later joined the Forth to specialise in submarine duties, and after having the command of the B. class he was made Captain of C2 in 1908-1910. During 1911 he was Lieutenant on the H.M.S. Neptune, Sir Francis Bridgeman's Flagship in the Home Fleet, and was one of the officers who qualified for War Staff Duties in the first batch appointed for that purpose in April, 1912. On passing out at the end of that year he served on the H.M.S. Antrim for War Staff Duties in the 3rd Cruiser Squadron, and returned to the submarine branch of the service in March of this year.
