Information: Lieutenant Commander Walter B. Watkins Grubb, R.N., of H.M.S. Cressy, son of Lieutenant-Colonel Alexander Grubb, late R.A., and grandson of the late Mr. Richard Grubb, Cahir Abbey, Cahir, Co. Tipperary, Entering the Navy at an early age, he was advanced through the various steps of his profession until his promotion as Lieutenant Commander, when his career was terminated in his thirty-fifth year in the naval action which resulted in the loss of the Cressy and the Hogue.
