Information: 2nd Lieut. Alan James Ramsay Anderson, 3rd Battalion Royal Irish Regiment, who was killed in action at Le Felly, near Lille, last October. He was the third son of Mr. Anderson, Secretary of the Irish Agricultural Organization Society. He was educated at Bedford Grammar School, and like his two elder brothers, had held one of the public school boxing championships. Afterwards he studied at Oxford with the object of devoting his life to the service of the Irish co-operative movement. When the war broke out, however, he was amongst the first to answer the call, and with his regiment was ordered to the front in October and shortly afterwards was killed in action.
