Information: Captain Edward Hugh Bagot Stack, 2nd Batt. 8th Gurkha Rifles, who was killed in action in France on November 1st, 1914. He was the only son of the late Mr. Edward Stack of the Bengal Civil Service, and of Mrs. Luttman-Johnson, of Redhill House, Petworth, Surrey. He entered the Army in August, 1905, and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in August, 1907, and acted as A.D.C. to King George at the Coronation Durbar in India. He married the only daughter of General Sir James Bell, Governor of Aden, and leaves three children.
