Information: Sergeant William Boyd, 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Regiment, who has been mentioned in General Sir John French's despatches, is a son of Mr. William Boyd, of Brockley Park, Stradbally, Queen's County. Sergeant Boyd joined the Service about eight years ago, and until the present war broke out he was chiefly engaged at the Headquarters of his regiment in Staff work.
