Information: Lieutenant William Sladen Hughes, Sussex Regiment, killed in action, was a son of Captain Hughes, late of Capoy, Enniskillen, and who now resides in Birr. Lieutenant Hughes was gazetted on the 22nd May, 1912. On the outbreak of the war he accompanied his regiment to the front, where he died fighting for his country.
