Information: Captain Leo Creagh, Manchester Regiment, who has been killed in action, entered the Army in January, 1899, being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in September of the same year, and obtaining his Captaincy in 1901. He served in the South African War, 1899, taking part in the operations in Natal, including the action at Lombard's Kop. He was also present at the defence of Ladysmith, including the sorties of the 7th and 10th December, 1899. He obtained the Queen's Medal with clasp.
