Information: 2nd Lieutenant Lawrence Ernest Pelham Grubb, Yorkshire Light Infantry, who was killed in action near Ypres on the 15th November, 1914, was a great-grandson of the late Mr. Richard Grubb, of Cahir Abbey, Co. Tipperary. He was educated at Rugby and at Brasenose College, Oxford, where he had recently obtained his B.A. degree with honours. Lieut. Grubb went to the front early in August, and for over three months was a despatch rider. He fell when gallantly leading a charge.
