Information: Captain Hugh Conor Henry O'Brien, Royal Munster Fusiliers, who has been killed in action, was born on the 19th November, 1880. He became 2nd Lieutenant in August, 1900, Lieutenant in March, 1903, and was promoted to the rank of Captain in April, 1910. He was present at many operations in the South African War, and had the Queen's Medal with clasp. On the North-West Frontier, of India in 1908 he was Brigade Signalling Officer, and received the medal with clasp.
