Information: Lieutenant Herbert Francis Otway, Prince of Wales's Leinster Regiment (Royal Canadians), has been awarded the Military Cross for the conspicuous ability he showed in making important reconnaissances under heavy shell fire. His reconnaissances were of the greatest value to the Divisional Commander at Potijze and were always carried out at considerable risk. Lieutenant Otway is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, and obtained his commission from the O.T.C. in the 1st Batt. Leinster Regiment in the autumn of 1913. He is a son of Mr. J. Otway, 18 Westby Road, Boscombe, Hants.
