Information: Major T. E. Fielding, Royal Army Medical Corps, who has been awarded the D.S.O., is a son of Major Fielding, late Adjutant of the Royal Hospital, Dublin. He served in the South African War and took part in the operations in the Transvaal, in the Orange River Colony and in Cape Colony. Also during the operations on the Zululand Frontier of Natal, September and October, 1901, including the defence of Fort Itala. On that occasion Major Fielding was mentioned in despatches and obtained the Queen's Medal with three clasps and the King's Medal with two clasps.
