Information: Second Lieutenant Henry Burden Hodges, 2nd Battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, was killed in action on 18th April, 1915, at Hill 60, when leading his men in a charge against the Germans. He was the younger son of Mr. J.F.W. Hodges, J.P., of Glenravel House, Glenravel, County Antrim. He was born in 1895, and educated at Sherborne School, Dorset, where he was in the first XV football team, and won numerous prizes for swimming and boxing. He left for the front in the middle of March, and had been five weeks in the trenches when he was killed.
