Information: Lieutenant Mervyn Kebble Anderson, 2nd Batt. Royal Irish Regiment, was the fourth son of Mr. James Anderson, of Brentford, Orwell Park, Rathgar, County Dublin. Lieutenant Anderson joined the 3rd Batt. (Special Reserve) of his regiment in August, 1914, was confirmed in rank and proceeded to the front in January, 1915; gazetted to the Regular Army on 28th February, 1915, and promoted Lieutenant on the 27th April, 1915. Lieutenant Anderson was very severely wounded in the neighbourhood of Ypres on the 7th May, 1915, and on the 11th May succumbed to these wounds.
