Information: 2nd Lieutenant Charles Martin Stanuell, Durham Light Infantry, killed in action. He was gazetted from the Royal Military College in January, 1914. When at school at Cheltenham and also at Sandhurst he was regarded as a brilliant Rugby three-quarter, he played against Woolwich for two years, and last November was reckoned as a very important addition to his side. When Woolwich and Sandhurst combined and met the Army at Queen's Club in December, Captain Rainsford-Hannay marked young Stanuell as a very promising player for future army teams.
