Information: Brigadier General the Earl of Cavan M.V.O. D.S.O. Frederick Rudolph Lambart, 10th Earl was born in 1865. He acted for some time as A.D.C. to the Governor-General of Canada and served with distinction in the South African War, when he was mentioned in despatches. In the present war, to quote from General Sir John French's despatch, “he was conspicuous for the skill, coolness and courage with which he led his troops”.
