Information: Lieutenant Lord Holmpatrick, 16th Lancers, who has been mentioned in despatches, was born in 1886, and was the son of the 1st Baron and Lady Victoria Alexandrina, daughter of General Lord Charles Wellesley. Lord Holmpatrick succeeded his father as 2nd Baron in 1898. He entered the 16th Lancers as Lieutenant in March, 1909, being gazetted from the 16th Hussars.
