Information: 2nd Lieutenant Gerard Ribton Gore, 1st Royal Sussex Regiment, who was killed in action on the 19th December, 1914. He was the only son of the late Lieut. Colonel Ribton Gore, of the Royal Sussex Regiment, and Mrs. Ribton Gore, of Thornfields, Co. Limerick. He was educated at Cheltenham College. Lieut. Gore was wounded during the retreat from Mons and returned shortly afterwards to the front. He was a nephew of Col. Gore, King's Royal Body Guard, of Erleigh, Devon.
