Information: Lieutenant T. W. Fitzpatrick, 2nd Batt. Royal Irish Regiment, who has been mentioned in Sir John French's Despatches for conspicuous gallantry in the fighting line from August 2 1st to the 30th. He has also been decorated with the Legion of Honour by the President of the French Republic for coolness and bravery in the field. Lieutenant Fitzpatrick was Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant when going on active service; on the 1st October he was commissioned Second Lieutenant and again promoted on the field in November as Lieutenant.
