Information: Captain Guy St. George Robinson, Northampton Regiment, son of the late Mr. St. George C.W. Robinson and Mrs. Robinson, Woodville, Sligo, and nephew of the Right Honourable Sir Edward Carson, M.P., was amongst the officers mentioned in Sir John French's first despatch. He was gazetted in May, 1907, became Lieutenant in April, 1909, and obtained his Captaincy in 1914. The announcement has now been made that he has been awarded the new Military Cross.
