Information: Captain Eric Lockhart Hume Henderson, 1st Royal Munster Fusiliers, was the son of Colonel W. Hume Henderson, I.M.S., and Mrs. Hume Henderson; grandson of Dr. Samuel Gordon, of 13 Hume Street, Dublin. He was educated at Loretto, was gazetted to 1st Royal Munster Fusiliers in 1900, and served through part of the Boer War. The greater part of his service was spent in India and Burmah. He was amongst the very first to land at Gallipoli, and was severely wounded whilst leading his men, and died from the effects of wounds on 20th May, at Alexandria.
