Information: Lieutenant Eric John Keefe Pemberton Pigott, 1st Royal Irish Regiment, was the third son of Surgeon-Colonel F. K. Pemberton Pigott, of Belmont Mouse, Shrewsbury, and grandson of the late Captain George P. Pigott, of Slavoy Castle, County Wexford. He was gazetted in January, 1914, to the 1st Batt. Royal Irish Regiment, which he joined in India. At the outbreak of the war he returned with his regiment and went to the front. He was made Machine Gun Officer, and was killed in action on June 24th, having saved his guns.
