Information: Captain G. Smith, Gordon Highlanders, who was recently mentioned in despatches by Sir John French, was killed on June 6th in action in France. Captain Smith received his commission in the Gordon Highlanders in 1911. He had been through several engagements before his death on June 6th. He was a grandson of the late Mr. R. Workman, Ceara, Belfast, and a cousin of Mr. G. S. Clark, of Messrs. Workman, Clark & Co., Ltd.
