Information: Second Lieutenant Irvine Johnston Smyth, 6th Batt. Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, was killed in action at Gallipoli on September 3rd last. He was a son of the Rev. W. H. Smyth, Methodist Minister, of 2 Wellesley Terrace, Wellington Road, Cork, and had been in the Civil Service until the war broke out, when he at once volunteered from T.C.D. into the 6th Black Watch and was appointed to a commission in the 6th Inniskillings. Lieut. Smyth was educated at Belfast Academy, Methodist College, Belfast, and Wesley and Trinity Colleges, Dublin.
