            Information: Captain Alfred Joseph William Blake, 5th Connaught Rangers, was killed in action at the Dardanelles on August 21st. Captain Blake served in the South African War and obtained three medals. He had travelled extensively in Canada, and on the outbreak of the war he joined the South Irish Horse, subsequently receiving a commission in the 5th Connaught Rangers and being promoted Captain prior to his departure for the Dardanelles.
