Information: Lieutenant Francis Bland Hewson, 4th Batt. York and Lancaster Regiment, who has been mentioned in Sir Douglas Haig's recent despatch for gallant and distinguished service, he is the second son of Major Lionel Hewson, Direen, Kenmare. Lieut. Hewson joined the York and Lancaster Regiment in 1913, was stationed at Sheffield until he went with his Battalion to France in the spring of 1915, and has been with them on active service ever since.
