Information: Colonel Robie Fitzgerald Uniacke, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, who is reported killed, was a member of an old Cork family, and a son of the Rev. Fitzgerald Uniacke, Stone Cross House, Wadhurst. Colonel Uniacke entered the Inniskillings from the Militia in 1891, received his Captaincy in 1899, and was gazetted to field rank two years ago. Colonel Uniacke was mentioned in Sir John French's despatches at the same time as his cousins, Brigadier-General H. C. Uniacke, R.H.A., and Lieutenant-Colonel H. P. Uniacke, commanding the 2nd Batt. Gordon Highlanders, who also fell in action.
