Information: Captain J. Goold-Adams, only son of the Ven. J. M. Goold-Adams, Archdeacon of Derry, who has been killed in action in Flanders, was born in October, 1883, and was educated at Rugby School and Sandhurst. He obtained his commission in the Prince of Wales' Leinster Regiment (Royal Canadians) in 1903, became Lieutenant in 1904 and Captain in 1912. He was wounded in February, 1915, and killed on the 4th May, in the memorable action on Hill 60. Captain Goold-Adams married in August, 1913, Irene, daughter of Assheton Biddulph, Esq., and Mrs. Biddulph, Moneyguyneen, King's County.
