Information: Lieutenant Joseph Ewing Bruce Miller, 5th Royal Irish Rifles, who died in France on May 24th, of wounds received in action, was the only son of Dr. and Mrs. J.E. Miller, of Londonderry, and grandson of the late Major Stewart Hervey Bruce, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, he was 20 years of age and was gazetted to a Lieutenancy in the 5th Royal Irish Rifles in January last, and shortly afterwards proceeded with his regiment to France. His early death has caused much regret in his native town.
