Information: Captain the Hon. Ernest W. Brabazon, 3rd Batt. Coldstream Guards, the youngest son of the Earl and Countess of Meath, has been killed in action in France. He was born in 1884, received his commission in 1904, was promoted Lieutenant in 1906 and Captain in 1912. In December last year he was mentioned in despatches, and received the D.S.O. for “conspicuous efficiency in Staff duties and in keeping up communications with a long line of front composed of many units, where communication was often difficult. He carried and delivered messages under fire with promptness and despatch.” Lord Meath's three other sons are all on active service.
