Information: Captain Edward George Harvey, 1st Wiltshire Regiment, who was killed in action in France on June 16th, was a son of Mr. J. G. M. Harvey, of Creglorne, Londonderry, had served in the South African War, taking part in the operations in the Transvaal and receiving the Queen's Medal with two clasps. He was in 1913 recorded for service in the Royal Flying Corps, and in 1914 was promoted to Flight Commander. At the outbreak of the war he rejoined his regiment, and was with them at the front until his death.
