Information: Captain Henry Edgar Goodbody, 4th Battalion Leinster Regiment, eldest son of Mr. T.H. Goodbody and husband of Mrs. Goodbody, Sheerwater, Monkstown, County Cork, obtained his Lieutenancy in August, 1912, was appointed Assistant Commissioner of Police on the Gold Coast in 1913, and subsequently received his Captaincy. He went with his regiment to the front and was killed in the action near Ypres on May 12th.
