Information: Second Lieutenant Arthur McLaughlin, Royal Irish Rifles, who has been killed in action, was a son of Mr. W.H. McLaughlin, D.L., Macedon, Whitehouse, principal of the firm of McLaughlin and Harvey, of Belfast and Dublin. He received his commission on the 15th August and was posted to the 3rd Battalion of the Rifles at Dublin, in which regiment his brother, Captain McLaughlin, is also an officer. Lieutenant McLaughlin had only been a short time at the front when he fell. His brother, George, was killed in the Boer War.
