Information: Second Lieutenant Albert William Bourke, was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Bourke, “Killala”, Belfast. Lieutenant Bourke was a medical student of Queen's University, Belfast, and received his commission in the 3rd Royal Irish Fusiliers in August last. He was killed in action near Ypres on May 9th whilst gallantly leading a bomb party of the 1st Royal Irish Rifles to which he had been attached.
