Information: Father Gill S.J., who was mentioned in Sir John French's despatches, belongs to a well known Dublin family. He gave up some very important scientific work in order to go to the front. He is an M.A. of Cambridge University, where he obtained a research degree through an important discovery in electricity. Father Gill has been attached to the 2nd Royal Irish Rifles since he went out in November last, and has been with the regiment at the front ever since.
