Information: Second Lieut. Hugh Maurice MacDermot, 6th Batt. Royal Irish Fusiliers, aged 19, who was killed in action at the Dardanelles between August 7th and 10th last, was the eldest son of The MacDermot, D.L. (Prince of Coolavin), Vice-Chairman of the Irish Prisons Board, and grandson of the Rt. Hon. The MacDermot, P.C., D.L., late Attorney-General for Ireland. He was educated at the Oratory School, Edgbaston, Birmingham. He was a very promising cricketer and played on his school eleven in 1914, when he won the Edgbaston Cup for the highest bowling average.
