Information: Captain John Miller, 6th Royal Welsh Fusiliers, who has been killed in action, was well known in Ireland in connection with engineering and scientific work. He was for many years member of the engineering staff of Messrs. A. Guinness, Son & Co., and was one of the founders of the Engineering and Scientific Association of Ireland. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Miller, Dalesworth House, Mansfield, Nottingham, and was educated at Mansfield Grammar School and Nottingham University.
