Information: Second Lieutenant Philip Sidney Snell, was killed in action at the Dardanelles on August 9th last. He was in his 22nd year and was the only son of Mr. Philip W. Snell, 32 Upper Mount-street, Dublin. Lieut. Snell was educated at Campbell College, Belfast, where he was a member of the Officers' Training Corps and a very fine cricketer. He subsequently entered Trinity College Medical School and joined the Officers' Training Corps there. On the outbreak of the war he at once volunteered and was given a commission in the 6th Royal Irish Fusiliers.
