Information: Captain Hubert John Coddington, 2nd Durham Light Infantry, who was killed in action on July 7th last, was the second son of Lieut. Colonel Coddington D.L., Oldbridge, Drogheda. Captain Coddington served in the South African War and took part in the operations in the Transvaal and Orange River Colony in 1901 and 1902. He was a very able officer, and for his services in the South African War, in the course of which he was wounded, he obtained the Queen's Medal with four clasps.
