Information: Captain Ainslie Douglas Talbot, 1st Batt. Lancashire Fusiliers, who has been killed in action at the Dardanelles in his 28th year, was the only son of Colonel J.S. Talbot (late Shropshire Light Infantry), of Ashgrove, Borrisokane, Co. Tipperary, and of Mrs. Talbot, Camberley, Surrey, and was a brother of Mrs. F. Montgomery, Millburn, Coleraine. Capt. Talbot joined the 1st Batt. Lancashire Fusiliers (then quartered in India) in December, 1908, was gazetted Lieutenant in June, 1910, and received his Captaincy a short time before his death.
