Information: Captain Bernard M'Auley, 1st Batt. Border Regiment, has been killed in action at the Dardanelles. Capt. M'Auley resided at Leopardstown, Foxrock, and was the fourth son of the late Mr. W. M'Auley and Mrs. M'Auley, Kilcock. He had served 38 years In the 1st Border Regiment, during which time he saw service in India, Malta, Gibraltar and South Africa, and was severely wounded in the action at Spion Kop. On the 1st March, 1915, he was appointed Captain of the 6th Batt of his regiment, and proceeded with them to the Dardanelles.
