Information: Second Lieutenant James Henry Bruce Levis, 6th Batt. Royal Irish Rifles, was killed in action at the Dardanelles about the 12th August last. Lieut. Levis was only in his 19th year, and was the elder son of Mr. Bruce Levis, Glenview, Skibbereen, Co. Cork. Prior to the war Lieut. Levis had been a medical student of Trinity College, and had passed through half his course with distinction, but on the outbreak of war he at once volunteered and was gazetted to the 6th Royal Irish Rifles in November, 1914.
