Information: Captain James Cecil Johnston, 6th Batt. Royal Irish Fusiliers, has been killed in action at the Dardanelles. Captain Johnston served through the Boer War with the 14th Hussars, and was private secretary to the Earl of Aberdeen during the last three years of his Viceroyalty. He was educated at Charterhouse and Sandhurst, and was a Resident Magistrate for the Co. Meath. His family residence was Magheramena Castle, Co. Fermanagh, of which county he was High Sheriff in 1910.
