Information: Captain M.J. Fitzgibbon, was the youngest son of Mr. John Fitzgibbon, M.P., Castlerea, and previous to the outbreak of the war was a law student, but immediately volunteered and obtained his commission in the 7th Batt. Royal Dublin Fusiliers in August, 1914, and sailed with his regiment for Gallipoli, where he fell in the action on August 15th last. Captain Fitzgibbon was a very popular young officer, and admired for his many sterling qualities.
