Information: Sergeant Edward Chaytor Millar, who fell in action at the Dardanelles on August 9th last, was the fourth son of Mr. Fitzadam Millar, Monkstown, Co. Dublin. He entered Trinity College in 1906, and in 1907 rowed for the University junior eight. Mr. Millar was a prominent footballer. On its formation in August last he joined the ”D” Company of the 7th Royal Dublin Fusiliers, and, like many others of this company, refused to accept a commission, preferring to be amongst his comrades. His company officer, Capt. Poole-Hickman, who was killed shortly afterwards, made special mention of Sergeant Millar's gallantry.
