            Information: 10650 Pte. Thomas Cecil Moore Elliott, only son of Mr. John Elliott, solicitor, Strabane, was killed in a bayonet charge of his company at the Dardanelles on August 16th. He was only in his 21st year when he joined the now famous “D” Company of the 7th Royal Dublin Fusiliers. Mr. Elliott was educated at Strabane Academy and Portora Royal School, and subsequently entered Trinity College Medical School. He was a prominent athlete, and won the All-Ireland School Shield for rifle shooting. He had been through two severe engagements, in which his battalion greatly distinguished itself, prior to the action in which he fell.
