Information: Lieutenant Duncan Boyd Wallis, 3rd Batt. Connaught Rangers (attached to the 2nd Batt. Royal Munster Fusiliers), died of wounds received in action in France on July 23rd, 1915, on his 24th birthday. He was the fifth son of the late Mr. H. Boyd Wallis and Mrs. Wallis, of Graylands, Horsham, Sussex, and 48 Holland Park, London. Lieut. Wallis was educated at St. Ronan's, Cheltenham College, and Cambridge, where he took his degree in Engineering. Shortly after the outbreak of the war he joined the 3rd Connaught Rangers and left for the front on May 14th.
