Information: Captain John Clarke, R.A.M.C., Welsh Field Ambulance, Territorial Division, died of wounds received in action on the 9th September. Captain Clarke, who was the third son of Mr. William Clarke, High Street, Ballymena, and a brother of Mr. James Clarke, solicitor, Ballymena, was aged 32. He was educated at Ballymena Academy and Edinburgh University, and took his degree at Queen's University, Belfast. He volunteered for active service in the autumn of 1914.
