Information: Lieutenant John Joseph Doyle, 6th Royal Dublin Fusiliers, was killed in action at the Dardanelles about the 7th August last. He was the fourth son of Mr. Joseph Doyle, Fairview, Clontarf, and a grandson of the late Mr. Edward Fegan, Killashee, Naas. His brother, Captain E.C. Doyle, A.N.C., is well known in racing circles in India. Lieut. Doyle was only 22 years of age at the time of his death, and previous to receiving his commission had been an engineering student of the National University. He was well known in Dublin football circles.
